Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before using Air Bag's services.

Effective Date: January 1, 2024

Version: 1.0

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Air Bag's websites, web apps, mobile apps, widgets, demos, and related content or services (collectively, the "Services") provided by Air Bag ("Air Bag," "we," "us," "our"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

We may provide these Terms in multiple languages. If there is a conflict, the English version controls to the extent permitted by law.

1. What Air Bag Is (Overview)

Air Bag is a travel-preparation companion. It helps you plan packing, understand typical airline/airport rules at a high level, and organize pre-departure tasks. Air Bag is not an airline, airport, travel agent, customs authority, or law firm and does not provide legal advice or guarantees of boarding, clearance, or compliance.

Core concepts referenced in these Terms:

  • E-Bag (Digital Luggage): organize items by bag (carry-on, checked, special).
  • E-Ticket (Digital Ticket): save itinerary context for checks.
  • Scans & Checks: general/special item scans, declaration guidance, pre-departure check.
  • Luggage Advisor: typical allowances by airline/route/class.
  • Emergency Contacts & Immigration Info: consolidated pointers.

Some experiences may be demos using mocked data.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority in your state) to use the Services. If you are 13–17, you may use the Services only with a parent/guardian who is the contracting party and responsible for your use. The Services are not directed to children under 13 (see COPPA, 15 U.S.C. §§ 6501–6506).

3. Your Account & Security

  • Provide accurate, complete information and keep it updated.
  • Keep credentials (passwords, OTPs, keys) confidential; you're responsible for all activity under your account.
  • Notify us of unauthorized use or security issues at security@airbag.com.

4. Fees, Trials, Auto-Renewals & Cancellations

We may offer free trials, freemium tiers, or paid plans. Plan details, pricing, and taxes are shown at signup or checkout.

Auto-Renewal: Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions automatically renew at the then-current price plus applicable taxes until canceled. We'll disclose renewal terms and how to cancel in a clear and conspicuous manner at checkout.

Cancel Anytime: You can cancel effective at the end of your current billing cycle via your account settings or by contacting support@airbag.com.

Refunds: Except where required by law or explicitly stated, fees are non-refundable. Your state's consumer rights still apply.

5. License & Acceptable Use

5.1 License

Air Bag grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for personal travel preparation (or, if authorized, for internal business purposes) in the United States.

5.2 Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Interfere with the Services or bypass security; probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities; reverse engineer except where allowed by law.
  • Upload malware or harmful code.
  • Infringe third-party rights or law; post unlawful, deceptive, or harmful content.
  • Use the Services to violate airline, airport, customs, immigration, safety, or other applicable rules/laws.

We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations.

6. Guidance-Only Disclaimers (Travel & Compliance)

Guidance Only: Information is general guidance, not legal advice and may be incomplete, outdated, or vary by airline/airport/authority.

No Guarantee: We do not guarantee boarding, security clearance, customs/immigration outcomes, or the absence of penalties, confiscations, or delays.

Your Responsibility: Verify requirements with official sources (airline, airport, destination authorities). When in doubt, don't travel with questionable items and follow official instructions.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Services is subject to our Privacy Policy (separate document) describing U.S. data practices (including California privacy rights under the CCPA/CPRA where applicable). By using the Services, you consent to our processing of your information as described there.

8. Disclaimers (Warranties)

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY U.S. LAW, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." AIR BAG AND ITS SUPPLIERS DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, QUIET ENJOYMENT, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY U.S. LAW:

AIR BAG WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.

AIR BAG'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO AIR BAG (IF ANY) IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY, OR USD 100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

10. Governing Law & Arbitration

These Terms and any dispute are governed by the Federal Arbitration Act ("FAA") and, to the extent not preempted, the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflicts-of-law rules.

You and Air Bag agree to resolve any dispute by binding individual arbitration, not in court, except that either party may seek relief in small claims court. You waive any right to a jury trial and class actions.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. When we do, we'll change the Effective Date and, if changes are material, provide additional notice at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
